• big_elements.png, a mesh in which element sizes vary greatly.
• car_model.png, a finite element mesh (using rectangular elements) of the surface of a car;
• conforming_grid.png, a finite element mesh (using hexagons) of the earth's surface, with elements decreasing in size at land/water boundaries.
• ell_elements.png, an image of the ELL elements.
• ell_nodes.png, an image of the ELL nodes.
• ell_region.png, an image of the ELL region.
• fem_mesh_1d.png, an image of the construction of a 1D FEM mesh.
